Lawrence Deal aka DJ SKEET BOOGIE born and raised in Salisbury MD 11/12/85, Djing after trying his hand at rapping in high school but quickly discovered that Rap just wasn’t his thing. So, he decided to buy several turntables and see where it would lead him.
Even though his friends called him L Boogie in High School, He dropped the “L” and put Skeet , a childhood nickname Skeeter, in front and there it was, DJ SKEET BOOGIE. He’s also known by certain aliases like, Skeet Skeet O and Mr Beating Down Ya Block. With fans from around his age, he quickly became a local sensation under this these names in his home town from House Parties, Private Parties and High School basketball games. Never imagining becoming a Radio Mix Show DJ, Dj Skeet Boogie’s name grew catching the attention of the hottest and number one Dj on the Maryland Eastern Shore. Considered a big brother and mentor to Dj Tavonne, Dj Skeet Boogie began to join the club scene opening up and being a hype man for Dj Tavonne and eventually becoming one-third founder of the notorious DJ squad, Victorious Music Group. Dj Skeet Boogie began building a name for himself. One day, he received a call that would change and boost his deejaying career to an even bigger level. This was a shot to become a Mix Show Dj on a local radio station WSBY Magic 98.9, along side fellow Dj Marley Mar as The Friday night Young Gunz. He held that show down for over a year. Later, DJ Skeet Boogie moved to another station, WOCQ Oc104 holding down the airwaves for over 2 years. WOCQ Oc104 changed names to WZEB Power 101.7 after it was sold, but Dj Skeet Boogie continued to mix holding down the mornings with the 8 o’clock Ol School mixtape, Razor Sharp Radio on Friday Nights and All Star Saturday on Saturday Nights for 2 years.
Ultimately, Dj Skeet Boogie found himself here at WKTT 97.5, Everything Urban. Calling it home now, he’s mixing it up on Saturday Night Street Heat, Saturday nights from 7pm-9pm. Along with the Saturday night mix show on Live 97.5, Dj Skeet Boogie is also the Co-Host and Dj for the HOT and all new show format called The OG show on Sundays 7pm-9pm with Co-Host A.N.D talking about hip hop culture, interviews, shoes and fashion, new music and the latest industry news.
Since the start of his long 17 year Dj career, Dj Skeet Boogie continues to take his craft and love for Djing to the next level. The sky is the limit and Dj Skeet Boogie is always ready to take on the next and biggest event that come his way.
