Ron Banks has been consistently one of the top on-air personalities for more than 20 years in the Delmarva area where he worked for numerous competitor stations in the market. Ron has been in the music business nearly his whole life which started by working in a record store as a child. The next progression was DJing in clubs as a teenager which later led to on-air time on the radio. His continued and rapid success led to becoming the youngest radio Program Director in Maryland at the age of 18. It is this extensive and unique music background which helped him to develop a keen ear for music and has helped launched the careers of many recording artists and catapulted many songs to the top of the charts. Record labels around the country have presented him with awards for helping to break new songs and often consult with him before releasing new music. In addition to being an on-air personality and Program Director of Live 97.5, Ron is also a Partner of Rojo Broadcasting, LLC which gives him more creative control.
Ron’s on-air program The Shutdown with Ron Banks features some of the newest and hottest rap and hip-hop music which can be heard on 97.5 FM and streaming week nights.
